David P. Hennessy

Whether he’s drafting and closing a hotel sales contract in just four days, or helping a couple to divide their assets, David Hennessy’s finance background gives him a legal edge. “Finance helps me understand a lot of numbers issues that come up in business, real estate, divorce, probate, and legal cases of all kinds. It’s a useful tool set.”

In addition to handling many business deals and real estate transactions for FeldmanWasser, David secured a $1.6 million judgment against a corporate farmer for defrauding an input dealer. He has also worked on bankruptcy, family law, estate, and probate cases. Prior to FeldmanWasser, he worked in Miami, Florida, as an in-house attorney for Assurant, a Fortune 500 insurance company.

He also spent a year in Miami as an associate attorney for an insurance defense law firm, where he assisted on a steady stream of disputes involving construction, product design, property damage, and personal injury. His favorite part about working at FeldmanWasser? “We go beyond mere legal advice and help people with their actual problems. We advise people about costs and benefits and choosing courses of action that help their bottom line.”
